Tranmere Rovers’ Futsal manager Damon Shaw made redundant

By Joel Lampkin

Following a restructure at Tranmere Rovers; Futsal manager and head of the club Damon Shaw has been made redundant but will be continuing his position until the end of the season.

The Super Whites closed their academy citing a number of key reasons but the departure of Shaw from his full-time role has gone under the radar.

The former Middlesborough coach took to his social media to announce the news but maintains that he will be staying on as manager in a “voluntary” position until the end of the season.

Whether or not Tranmere look to come to an agreement with Shaw remains to be seen but as shown by his messages he has a passion and dedication not just to the club but to futsal as a whole.

With teammates welcomed into his home during their time at the club, Shaw has shown that he is prepared to sacrifice his personal space for the good of success.

We wish Damon the best of luck in finding a job role that he deserves as he has been very welcoming to TranmereTalk and has shown a unique sense of passion that very few can maintain in sport.
