Greg Clayton on Tranmere’s Vanarama National League chances

By Peter Tscherewik

Tranmere Rovers fan and vlog maker Greg Clayton believes that the club will have to rely on a Macclesfield Town catastrophe if Micky Mellon’s men are to lift the Vanarama National League title in April.

The Super Whites are currently seven points behind the league leaders, and have played a game more than John Askey’s side.

Having lost 4-1 to the Silkmen at Prenton Park in February, Clayton admits that his hopes of winning the league were hurt somewhat following the defeat.

He said: “I was hoping that Macclesfield game would be the game where we close the gap on them, now if we win that game realistically I think the title is ours at that point…

You can watch all of what Clayton had to say about how he feels Rovers will fare in the final ten matches of this 2017-18 campaign in the exclusive video on our YouTube channel.
