Tranmere Rovers FA Cup Draw Information

Tranmere find will be ball no.49 in the FA Cup draw.

Tranmere Rovers find out their opponents in the first round of the FA Cup later tonight having defeated FC Halifax Town 3-1 in mid-October.

Micky Mellon’s side will be ball no.49 in the draw that will be televised on BBC Two and BT Sport Three with possible opponents from the English Football League.

Speaking following his side’s win goalscorer Liam Ridehalgh said: “The important thing was to get through to the next round and hopefully we can get a League side at Prenton Park in the first round proper.”

The midfielder scored Rovers’ third with a beautiful free-kick effort curling into the top corner with Connor Jennings and James Norwood also on the scoresheet.

Manager Mellon spoke after the victory saying that the “cup-draw” was something for the fans to get “excited about” but hopes that his side is rewarded with a “favourable tie“.
